T-Mobile Poland continues to solidify its position as a leader in 5G technology with the dynamic rollout of its 5G network operating in the C-band spectrum, initiated in the first quarter.
As of today, more than 2,800 of T-Mobile Poland's 12,400 base stations now offer 5G More signals, significantly expanding the reach and capacity of its network. With these advancements, 66% of the population is now within range of T-Mobile Poland's 5G DSS (Dynamic Spectrum Sharing) technology, and over 30% can access 5G services on the 3.x GHz frequencies. This progress not only maintains but also strengthens T-Mobile Poland's leadership in 5G C-band technology. To support the growing demand for 5G services, T-Mobile Poland has prioritized connecting its 5G stations with fiber, ensuring robust network performance. Impressively, approximately 95% of the 5G stations connected via fiber are now utilizing high-speed 10G links.
These network improvements are translating into tangible benefits for customers, as evidenced by T-Mobile's recent success in independent benchmarks. The company concluded the second quarter with a significant win in the Ookla (Speedtest.net) network quality ranking, reaffirming its status as the provider of the highest and most consistent mobile network speeds. This accolade complements the recognition from SpeedTest.pl for the fastest home network in 2023. As customers increasingly embrace T-Mobile Poland's enhanced data services, the operator has seen a corresponding rise in data consumption.
T-Mobile Poland's commitment to premium voice services, powered by the widespread adoption of VoLTE technology, is further enhancing the customer experience. Currently, approximately 80% of all calls on T-Mobile Poland's network are made using VoLTE, and the availability of this technology continues to grow with T-Mobile's global roaming partners. At present, customers can enjoy VoLTE in 40 countries through 57 roaming partners.
