Indonesian telco Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison has launched an AI-powered digital solution for enterprises in the retail sector that it says can help them optimize business revenues, boost customer satisfaction and improve operational efficiency in their stores.
According to a statement released Friday, Indosat says its NEXTretail solutions portfolio leverages AI and intelligent analytics to provide retailers “better insights into customer needs, real-time personalization, more targeted customer loyalty programs, and an improved shopping experience.”
Solutions included in the NEXTretail offering include “Smart Digital Ads “ that allows retailers to create personalized and targeted digital ad campaigns based on customer preferences and behavior. Indosat claims such ads can increase customer engagement by 30%, conversion rates by 25%, and ad ROI by 20%.
The NEXTretail portfolio also includes Indosat's AI-based Chatbot to reduce response times and cut customer service opex, and a “Smart Cashier” system designed to speed up the payment process by up to 40% and decreases manual errors by 30%.
The solution also includes a CCTV surveillance system that uses AI for anomaly detection and prevention of theft and fraud. Indosat says this solution can “reduce theft and fraud incidents by up to 50%, increase early detection of threats that could cause losses by 30%, and lower security-related costs by 20%.”
Muhammad Buldansyah, director and chief business officer at Indosat, said that as the retail sector undergoes significant changes due to the swift evolution of digital transformation, NEXTretail will arm retailers with data-driven insights to help them navigate the changing landscape.
“The retail world is continually evolving dynamically, with customer expectations constantly increasing,” he said in a statement. “The NEXTretail solution offered by Indosat Business is designed to deliver tangible digital transformation, improve efficiency, and maximize customer satisfaction.”
