In 2025, many companies across the EU will have to submit a comprehensive ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) report for the first time as part of the CSRD (Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive). This report measures how a company’s actions affect the environment and society.
To help companies with this new requirement, Vodafone Business Germany and sustainability reporting specialist Envoria have launched ESG Navigator, an all-in-one solution for collecting and analysing ESG data. Envoria is a startup that was successfully scouted by Vodafone Germany’s UPLIFT startup initiative.
Companies can use the Vodafone Business ESG Navigator as a central collection point for all relevant data, bringing together sources from different locations and systems for processing and analysis. Company reports can be created and exported, including clear visualisations that comply with the CSRD’s predefined templates. As well as the tool itself, Vodafone Germany is offering workshops, training courses and demos, ensuring responsible employees can confidently use the software.
Vodafone Business ESG Navigator offers valuable support to companies in the EU, many of which will be dealing with terms such as ESG, EU taxonomy, and the calculation of their Scope 1, 2 and 3 footprints for the first time. These unfamiliar areas, combined with a lack of professionally trained specialists and tools, can make ESG reporting a daunting task. Failure to follow reporting can also have serious consequences on a company, from reputational damage to expensive fines.
