Techtree Innovation makes foray into digital twin market in GCC region

Korea’s Techtree Innovation has partnered with an Abu Dhabi-based consulting firm to provide its three-dimensional spatial information platform, Around, to the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.

The Korean 3D geospatial map developer announced Monday that it signed a strategic partnership agreement with HBFQ to supply Around to GCC countries, including the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

This platform enables high-resolution mapping, allowing GCC nations to develop digital twin infrastructures and conduct simulations for natural disasters like flooding.

Demand for digital twin technologies is high in the GCC region, particularly in the construction of smart cities such as NEOM City, disaster prevention, societal infrastructure improvement, digital simulation and infrastructure development.

The GCC is an economic cooperation bloc formed by six countries: Saudi Arabia, UAE, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, and Oman. HBFQ provides solutions across various sectors such as technology, real estate and commerce within the GCC region.

HBFQ will also provide Techtree’s spatial digital twin platform and solutions to support urban management and development and improve energy efficiency.

"The Around platform and various customized solutions are expected to address not only smart city development but also various other challenges in the region," HBFQ CEO Helal Al Qubaisi said in a press release. "This partnership will transform the digital twin industry in the GCC region."

"By combining our capabilities, we will lead the acceleration of digital transformation in the GCC region," said Techtree CEO Seungyup Choi.
