French commercial broadcaster M6 Group has launched its new streaming platform M6+.
The RTL-owned channel is replacing the former 6play, in the process doubling the amount of free content to 30,000 hours, a third of which is exclusive to the platform.
M6+ is powered by state-of-the-art technology from RTL’s technical subsidiary Bedrock. It has created a platform that includes a data-rich video player enabling real-time engagement during upcoming sports events and reality TV, creating an “unprecedented” level of viewer interaction.
M6 says the platform brings together the strong brands of the M6 Group and offers more “streamable” brands and previews.
In addition to video, the multimedia platform is also offering a selection of podcasts taken from audio content produced by the M6 Group.
It wants to double the consumption of online content and triple the revenues generated from them through streaming by 2028.
An advertising campaign is launching on TV, radio, outdoor, and press, highlighting the offer.
