Iozera and Morocco partner to launch groundbreaking AI hub and data center

U.S.-based tech startup Iozera, in collaboration with the Moroccan government, is set to revolutionize the AI industry with a new initiative. They have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to establish a 386MW Data Center and AI Hub in Tetouan, Morocco. This partnership aims to democratize access to advanced AI computing resources globally, with a focus on GPU-based processing for researchers, startups, and businesses. A significant feature of this initiative is its commitment to sustainability, utilizing Morocco’s renewable energy resources to power the facility.

The MOU signing event will take place on May 8th, 2024, at the Capital Factory in Austin, Texas, featuring distinguished guests such as His Excellency Mr. Mohcine Jazouli, Moroccan Delegate-Minister, and Her Excellency Dr. Ghita Mezzour, Moroccan Minister Delegate in charge of Digital Transition and Administrative Reform. The event will also see participation from key figures from Taiwan’s Pegatron and AMDIE, the Moroccan Investment and Export Development Agency.

The event is open to the public, with an invitation extended to the AI and tech community to witness the signing and partake in an AI mixer and networking event. This will include guest speakers like James Shue from Pegatron and co-founders of Iozera, among others. Attendees can enjoy Moroccan delicacies and refreshments and are encouraged to register via Eventbrite and check-in at the specified location and time.
